In this profession a C.V is
called a bio, maybe because it's not only a job but a life that is summarized.

I was born in New-York City and music
caught me very early and made me a dancer. I got my
first professional contract at the age of 11 as a tap
dancer while running away from home ! |
My dancing carrer come
to a painful stop when I violently fell from a stage. Then I started
to sing. With Mongo Santamaria, among others,
I was noticed by Thelonious Monk's manager who opened doors of great
jazz clubs of the East Coast where I sang with greats like Ron
Carter, Tommy Flanagan, Billy
Mitchell, Sonny Stitt, Bobby
Timmons...
|
Later I worked
on the international circuit of grand hotels and luxury cruises in Asia,
Latin América and the Caribbean.
In the United States I had the opportunity
of playing a role (including singing and tap dancing) in a musical called
The Club. Some years ago,
I landed in Paris for a new start. I met
and sang with excellent jazz musicians: Alain
Jean Marie, Claude Tissendier, Hervé
Sellin, Bobby Few, Tony
Rabeson, Joel Rakoto, Patrick
Villanueva...
|
Then
something completely different: For two years I was the star of the
last Folies-Bergère showwhat
an experience !
I also rediscovered a repertoire from my childhood that I would never
have imagined singing : Negro spirituals and gospel.
|
I
give regular concerts
in churches of France with a very particular joy that audiences
share in the discovery of this inspired music.
|

I keep on singing and composing jazz and blues, now incorporating the power of this music into theatrical works.
